be a hero for OUR COMMUNITY ARTISTS
For 53 years, Hospitality House’s Community Arts Program (CAP) has been San Francisco’s only free-of-charge fine art studio and gallery space. The CAP connects artists from all walks of life—artists who range in experience and differ in style, who have different goals and aspirations. In our studio, artists are able to create, exhibit, and sell their artwork, keeping 100% of the proceeds from their work. Unfortunately, CAP is limited in its capacity due to COVID-19, and our artists have been severely impacted. This is why we’ve decided to bring THHE Auction online. We're asking you to be a Hero for our community artists. Purchase a Hero Lot today.
WHAT are “HERO LOTs”?
A Hero Lot is an auction term created to describe an opportunity to make a donation in support of artists. In past years, attendees of our live auction event would bid on “hero lots” as a way of making a donation. When you purchase a Hero Lot, you're investing in Hospitality House and allows us to nurture and grow our community spaces. Your generosity enables TL and SOMA residents to thrive, connect, and create.
who are culture keepers?
With original artwork, you can surround yourself with the power and beauty of what makes us human. An expression of heart and soul by artists who continue to dream. To remind us of our shared humanity. To be keepers of culture.
"This online auction serves as a statement that art still matters. We need to support our community of artists." - Janet Williams, Community Arts Program Manager
